About

Imagen
7I am an early-career conservation scientist and a PhD candidate in ‘Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies’ at the University of Lisbon. I hold an MSc in Marine Systems and Policies with Distinction from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Biology from the Autonomous University of Madrid. I have 7 years of experience as a researcher and consultant and I have worked in several marine and fisheries research and conservation projects, mostly in São Tomé and Príncipe and Mozambique, but also in Maldives, Scotland, Portugal, and Spain. I am interested in exploring how societies interact with their natural environment and how environmental management measures and policies can support communities to improve ecosystem functioning and generate resilient socio-ecosystems.
