About

Imagen
I am an early-career conservation scientist and a PhD candidate in ‘Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies’ at the University of Lisbon, with an MSc in Marine Systems and Policies with Distinction from the University of Edinburgh. Since 2016, I have worked as a researcher and consultant in marine conservation projects in São Tomé and Príncipe (2017-now) and Mozambique (2016).

I specialise in delivering research in collaboration with coastal communities, NGOs, and government agencies, combining social and ecological methods to produce actionable outputs that inform conservation actions.

In my research, I explore how societies interact with their natural environment and how environmental management measures and policies can support coastal communities to generate resilient socio-ecosystems.
